INGREDIENTS IN DETAIL
When developing our products, we put the quality of the ingredients used first. We only use the highest quality plant-based ingredients and prefer naturally produced rather than chemically synthesized substances. Get to know our ingredients here.
Apricots.
Apricot kernel oil is well tolerated by all skin types, especially sensitive skin. It has a smoothing, soothing effect and is easily absorbed. It is recommended as an oil for mature skin. The ingredients in apricot kernel oil stimulate the oxygen supply to cells.
Ectoine.
Ectoin is an amino acid that is produced in nature primarily by microorganisms and helps them to survive in environmental conditions characterized by heat, strong UV radiation or high salt concentrations. They are stress protection molecules that bind significant amounts of water and can thus keep the water concentration within the cell stable. Ectoin is considered to be hydrating, as well as preventative and effective in protecting cells against environmental damage. In the medium term, however, ectoin appears to increase the moisture content of the skin. Ectoin significantly reduces redness on sun-exposed skin areas and alleviates the effects of increased sun exposure, even on light-colored, photosensitive skin.
Macadamia.
Macadamia nut oil is an excellent oil for dry, brittle and sensitive skin, as the composition of fatty acids in its spectrum is similar to that of human skin fat. It has a particularly smoothing, softening and regenerating effect on the skin.
Magnolias.
Magnolia bark has anti-inflammatory properties and is a highly effective anti-aging agent and a powerful antioxidant. It helps reduce redness and minimizes the skin aging processes caused by chronic skin inflammation.
Almond.
Almond oil is rich in the metabolically and cosmetically active α-tocopherol, which has an antioxidant and skin-protecting effect. However, according to various studies, almond oil penetrates very deeply into the stratum corneum (the horny layer) and spreads in the intercellular spaces between the horny cells. It is a very well-tolerated oil. Its high tolerability offers gentle care, especially for sensitive skin, and helps to bring it back into balance.
Olive leaf.
It is not only olive oil that contains a lot of skin-care substances. We find these in much higher concentrations in the leaves of the trees. Olive leaf contains oleuropein, one of the most powerful natural antioxidants, which has strong antimicrobial, antiviral and anti-aging effects. Laboratory tests have shown that oleuropein can stimulate the formation of elastic fibers in the skin and thus slows down the skin aging process. The extract from olive leaves has been used since ancient times as a natural anti-aging agent.
Olive oil.
Olive oil is considered to be warming, stimulating, anti-inflammatory and promotes circulation. It slows down the aging of skin cells and makes the skin velvety soft. Olive oil keeps the skin smooth and helps it retain its natural moisture.
Interesting to know: The high content of oleuropein increases the resistance of the olive tree so much that it is able to reach its old age.
Orange. Essential oil.
Orange essential oil relaxes the muscles and nerves. It has a degreasing effect and also tightens the pores.
Orange blossom water.
The active ingredients in orange blossom water have a particularly positive effect on sensitive, delicate and large-pored skin. Orange blossom water refines the pores and ensures an even complexion. It also balances the skin's pH value, protects against drying out and makes the skin radiant. Orange blossom water is also a real secret recipe for combating redness. Orange blossom water heals the skin and strengthens its structure.
Oryzanol.
Oryzanol is extracted from rice germ oil. It has a pronounced, natural UV-A and UV-B absorption capacity, which makes it an ideal additive for natural cosmetic day care products in which it usefully complements physical sun protection filters. This so-called secondary protection cannot be captured in a specific sun protection factor, but is based on the reduction of light-related degradation processes and damage to elastic and collagen fibers. Its stimulating effect on the sebaceous glands combined with the light-protective effect makes oryzanol an ideal active ingredient against premature, light-related skin aging.
Rose.
Rose water is rich in vitamins B and C. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, decongestant and skin-tightening effects. Rose water binds free radicals and is therefore antioxidant. It regulates the skin's moisture balance and promotes blood circulation. It does not clog the skin's pores and therefore does not promote the formation of blackheads. Rose water revitalizes the skin and gives it a fresh look. The skin is moisturized and is therefore firmer and regenerates faster. Dabped directly under the eyes, rose water works against swelling or dark circles under the eyes. The skin is better supplied with blood and can therefore better remove deposits in the sensitive skin layers under the eyes.
Squalane.
Squalane is extracted from olive oil. Squalane makes the skin feel extremely soft and silky and is non-greasy. Interestingly, in humans (not in other primates), squalane is produced as an intermediate product of cholesterol synthesis in the skin and has the ability to reduce the oxidation of the skin's own lipids by returning oxygen molecules to a free radical-neutral state. Squalane therefore protects cells from premature aging.
Grape.
Grape extract smoothes and tightens the skin. It moisturizes for a youthful and fresh appearance.
Interesting to know – the ancient Greeks believed that grapes gave men strength and women beauty.
grape leaf.
Red grape leaf extract is rich in polyphenols, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E. It protects cells from free radicals, has a regenerating effect and can stimulate collagen production. It also provides light natural sun protection. It is rich in resveratrol, an antioxidant that reduces the activity of free radicals and thus achieves an anti-aging effect. In addition, the extract can also improve the elasticity of the skin.
grape seed.
The oil from grape seeds is one of the most precious European oils. Due to its content of polyphenols and tocopherols, grape seed oil is considered to be an oil with exceptional antioxidant, cell membrane-protecting properties.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C stimulates connective tissue metabolism and the enzymes responsible for collagen production. At the same time, it inhibits collagen degradation in the cells. This has a regenerating and healing effect on connective tissue damage. It provides protection against UV light-induced damage. In combination with vitamin E, it is a proven remedy against age spots because it inhibits melanin synthesis.
Vitamin E.
Vitamin E has a strong antioxidant effect. It binds moisture in the stratum corneum (horny layer). Vitamin E promotes wound healing through its cell-renewing and anti-inflammatory effect and reduces skin damage caused by UV rays. It has a noticeable smoothing effect on the skin's texture. Vitamin E works against free radicals in a specific way: when it reacts with a radical, it becomes one itself. Vitamin C is able to "reform" vitamin E from this radical.
Wild rose.
Rosehip oil supports skin regeneration like no other oil and is ideal for treating dry, flaky skin, pigment spots and scars. It contains transretinoic acid, a particularly active form of vitamin A. Transretinoic acid has a strong healing and regenerating effect, promotes collagen production within the connective tissue and thus contains the skin's ability to retain moisture. Rosehip oil stimulates cell renewal and is considered an excellent and extremely well-tolerated facial oil for dry, mature, but also inflamed skin.
